Another image from the late afternoon milking visit. By now I was using a manual flash gun.
It was dark, probably quite cold (I can't actually remember too much, understandably), and seemed very busy.
Although I didn't know what was happening next the cows seemed to be familiar with the process.

One afternoon in late December 1977 I accompanied a farmer to watch them doing the afternoon milking session.
It soon got dark, and it looks like I had to use a flash gun just after this image, which made me think of Pink Floyd.
