There are too many blanks where I have wound on in readiness, but not photographed, then triggered the shutter putting the camera back in my bag. Must do better.

My scanner is repaired. To celebrate having it back and to test it, here is the post repair scan.
Taken at a dog show in a sports hall in Carlton, Nottingham in 1979.
(HP5 at 400asa in D-76 1+1. M3 +35 Summilux).
Now, because I said to someone that I would, I must take a photograph on film and print it (but only on an inkjet) for this year's project.

This scan made me realise my scanner needed cleaning, which I tried to do but failed. I'm hoping it will be mended soon. Taken in Derbyshire in 1976 on Ilford FP4 at 200asa, processed in D76.

nocoolscan

You see the 2 cables on the right? Well, there should be a Coolscan 5000 connected to them, but unfortunately it has had to go to Nikon UK. I'm waiting to hear whether or not it will live. I had to clean the mirror but after re-assembly all was not well. Oh dear. It could be time to buy a Plustek scanner. I probably won't know until after the holiday period. Every Coolscan owner's worst fear - will it work when I switch it on. There's no guarantee that parts are available for them anymore. Or do you know otherwise?

steve?

Maybe its the darker days of December, but I seem to want to dig out old negatives at the moment. Pick a sheet and try to find something to print, erm, I mean scan. This is from December 1976, taken with a Minolta SRT303 (black finish) on Ilford HP4 at 650asa processed in Aculux. I can't remember your name now, (was it Steve?) but if you see this, let me know.
